Things-in-Progress Thursday (06/26/14)

Things-in-Progress Thursday! Instead of Works-in-Progress Wednesday, because the last couple of weeks I have not been able to check in on the blog on Wednesday. Oh, life.

What am I working on this week? In ceramics, I’m cleaning a lot of greenware…

I have some cleaning to do. #ceramics #slipcast #greenware

… see? A lot. I’d love to get the kiln full and fire again on Friday, but there are a couple of pieces still not dry enough to clean, so firing might happen next week instead.

In soap, nothing much this week; I worked on it a lot last week and had a small update over the weekend, so I’m pretty well-stocked on everything. Although I am starting to think about what I might want to make in the Yarn and Knitting Needle design to take with me to Fiber-In in September.

In yarn, this week, I’m still winding the last of the club yarn. I’m really sort of mad at myself, I feel like I should be finished with this already… but there’s been a comedy of errors with tangled skeins, and I only have about an hour per day I can work on winding. I only have about six skeins left, though, so should finish today (and take photographs of that and the swag). International will get in the mail on the 1st, Domestic on the 10th, and then that’s it for this round! I can’t believe it, it seems like it just started!

In knitting, I have finished my June 12-in-’14 project (I should show those off!) and have been plodding away on a pair of socks in my discontinued color, Neapolitan, that I started over the weekend when we went to go see Edge of Tomorrow. In spinning, I’m ashamed to say, I’m far behind where I thought I’d be at this point in the year as far as burning through my (extensive) fiber stash. Does anyone out there spin, and have a FitBit? I’m getting one of those and wondering how to translate spinning into steps….

And that’s about all for my week… what’s going on with you? What are you working on?
